BNP delegation meets Norwegian State Minister for Foreign Affairs

A BNP delegation met with Norway’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Andreas Kravik. The meeting was held at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oslo on September 15 at 1 pm.

The BNP delegation discussed the overall political situation in Bangladesh with the minister. In particular, there was a long discussion about the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The BNP delegation told the minister that the people of Bangladesh have been deprived of the right to vote for 16 years and are eagerly waiting to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections. BNP wants to see a free and fair election in Bangladesh and invited the Norwegian government delegation including Minister Andreas Kravik to observe the upcoming elections in Bangladesh. Minister Andreas Kravik thanked the BNP delegation and accepted their invitation and expressed his interest in going to Bangladesh.

Also present at the time were Kristin Lunden, Senior Advisor to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trim Ost Sonstedt, Assistant Director for South Asia Affairs, and the BNP delegation included former MP Khandaker Nasirul Islam, former International Affairs Secretary of the Jubo Dal Central Committee and coordinator of the meeting, Mohammad Khairuzzaman Lincoln, and Norway BNP President Badal Bhuiyan.
