Amidst the cold, dense fog, public life is disrupted. Helpless and distressed people are trying their best to ward off the cold. Meanwhile, blankets have been distributed among thousands of cold-stricken people in Kaliakoir, Gazipur today, Sunday (January 04). Kaliakoir Upazila Administration and Disaster Management Department organized this distribution program in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad.
Upazila Executive Officer A.H.M. Fakhrul Hossain presided over the program, which was attended by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Fahim Shahriar, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Zakaria Alam, teachers and students of various madrasas and journalists working in the upazila and others.
Blankets were distributed among thousands of students of twenty madrasas in different areas of the upazila to ward off the cold.
At this time, the president of the program, Fakhrul Hossain, said that the distributed blankets should be distributed properly so that those who really deserve it get them. We hope it is distributed through fair management.
