Shajahanpur (Bogra) Representative:

A suspect has been arrested in a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act-2009 in a special operation by the Shajahanpur Police Station of Bogra District.

Shajahanpur Police Station Case No.-30, dated 28/09/2025 AD, Section- 9(3)/10/11/13 Anti-Terrorism Act 2009. The suspect, Md. Shakirul Alam Shakil (35) (former Chhatra League leader), father- Md. Mohsin Ali, resident- Betgari (Battala), Police Station- Shajahanpur, District- Bogra, was arrested on 01/10/2025 at approximately 18.30 hours in the evening from Betgari Battala area under Shajahanpur Police Station.

There are several cases against the arrested suspect in the past. Notable among them are—

1. FIR No. 1, dated August 1, 2013; G.R. No. 164/13, Sections 143/323/324/326/307/379/506/114 of the Penal Code, 1860.
2. FIR No. 11, dated September 10, 2012; G.R. No. 180/12, Section 19(a) of the Arms Act, 1878.

The police said that in the interest of investigation, a remand application will be filed through the court against the arrested accused.
