Army arrests gambler with fake money in Boda Upazila

Boda (Panchagarh Correspondent:

The army has arrested a gambler along with fake money in a raid in Boda upazila of Panchagarh. On Tuesday, September 16, at 10 pm, Jewel Hossain (42) was arrested from Balramhat Kumarpara village of Chandanbari union of the upazila and fake notes worth Tk 24,000 were recovered. The arrested Jewel Hossain is the son of Abdul Aziz of Harigari Islampur village of Bogra Sadar upazila.

It is known that, based on secret information, a team of Bangladesh Army and Boda police station led by Lieutenant Farhad of Bangladesh Army reached the spot and arrested him, searched him and arrested him along with fake money and handed him over to Boda police station.

On Wednesday, September 17, Boda police station officer-in-charge OC Azim Uddin confirmed the matter and said that preparations are underway to file a case against the person arrested along with fake money.
