Army members have arrested three terrorists along with weapons in a raid in Ghoshbag area of Ashulia.
On Thursday (October 9) early morning, based on secret information, the army team of Jamgarh Army Camp conducted a raid in Ghoshbag Purbapara of Ashulia and arrested three members of an armed gang.
The arrested are Vishal (20), alias Shahidul (20), son of Rais Uddin of the same area, and Shipon (21), son of Ahsan Habib.
According to the army, during a search of the terrorists’ houses on Thursday morning based on secret information, one shotgun, 13 chapatis, 4 knives, a wire cutter, 36,760 taka of extortion money and six mobile phones were found. The arrested terrorists and the recovered weapons have been handed over to Ashulia Police Station for further legal action.
In this regard, Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Abdul Hannan said, the joint forces have handed over the three arrested accused along with weapons to the police station. At that time, a sophisticated shotgun and a domestically made sharp weapon recovered from their custody were seized. A case is being processed at the police station against the arrested accused.
