Armed Forces Special Training Compendium unveiled at Dhaka Cantonment on the occasion of Armed Forces Day 2025

On the occasion of Armed Forces Day 2025, the country’s Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus unveiled the special publication of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, ‘Training Compendium’, at the Dhaka Cantonment today, Thursday (November 21). A new chapter in the training development, modernization and professional capacity building of the Bangladesh Armed Forces was inaugurated by the unveiling in a modest but dignified ceremony.

The chiefs of the three services of the armed forces—the Chief of the Army, the Chief of the Navy, the Chief of the Air Force, along with high-ranking military officers and important civilian invited guests—were present at the ceremony. Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus said in his speech,
“Modern training, technology and discipline—these three elements are the main strength of building an efficient armed force. The ‘Training Compendium’ will further strengthen the trend of professional excellence of our forces.”

He further mentioned that Bangladesh has already earned international acclaim for its armed forces’ professionalism, humanity, peacekeeping operations and disaster management. This new compendium will further enhance that reputation.

The Bangladesh Armed Forces “Training Compendium” is essentially a comprehensive training guide that includes modern military tactics, technology-based training, international mission readiness, disaster management, military leadership development, cyber security capabilities and integrated force management rules.

Armed forces officials said that through this compendium, the training system will be more advanced, integrated and timely. The main goal of this publication is to increase the capabilities of the forces in line with future war policy changes and technological advancements.

At the end of the program, Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus reviewed various aspects of the armed forces’ development activities, the success of peacekeeping operations, modernization plans and the progress of training of young officers. Later, special prayers and prayers were held on the occasion of Armed Forces Day.

Those concerned believe that the unveiling of the new “Training Compendium” at this significant event of Armed Forces Day has opened new horizons in increasing the country’s security and military capabilities.
