A workshop on five new varieties of potato seeds was held in Joypurhat with the participation of traders. The workshop was organized by AC I Seed at the Swapnachaya Community Center in the city on Sunday (September 21) at 11 am.
The workshop was presided over by Sadar Upazila seed trader Md. Golam Rabbani, Proprietor, Messrs. Rakib Traders. The event was hosted by AC I Seed's Bogra Area Sales Manager. AC I Seed's Business Director Sudhir Chandra Nath was the chief guest. Business Manager AKM Shahinur Rahman, National Sales Manager Manosij Kumar Mondal and Product Manager Golam Mostafa were present as special guests.
About 120 seed traders from different areas of the district participated in the workshop. During this time, discussions were held with the participants on various aspects of improving seed quality, expanding the market, strategies for delivering high-quality seeds to farmers on time and increasing business skills.
The organizers said that there is no alternative to quality seeds to increase agricultural production. Therefore, the main goal of this workshop is to increase the skills of traders and deliver improved seeds to farmers at the right time.
It was informed at the workshop that ACE Seed is marketing five new varieties of potato seeds this year. These are ACE Potato-19, ACE Potato-14, ACE Fry Potato-2, Valencia and Katarzena.
According to the organizers, these new varieties of potatoes will increase the yield and income potential of farmers and further enrich the agricultural sector of Bangladesh.
