A friendly and exciting final football match was held on Saturday (October 4) afternoon at the Rahim Bakhas School Ground in Bhognagar Union of Birganj Upazila of Dinajpur. Bhabaki Sonar Bangla Youth Development Club and Setabganj FC Football XI faced each other on the ground.
From the beginning of the game, the field was filled with excitement from the spectators and the slogans of the supporters. The game became lively with attacks and counterattacks. In the end, Setabganj FC Football XI snatched the victory and achieved the glory of becoming the champion.
Bangladesh Nationalist Farmers' Party Central Committee member, Dinajpur District BNP Vice President and Birganj Upazila BNP President Alhaj Md. Manjurul Islam, who was present as the chief guest, inaugurated the game and distributed the prizes.
In his speech, he said, “Sports keep the youth away from all kinds of immoral activities including drugs. Football is part of the tradition of Bangladesh. Such arrangements will develop the talent and skills of the youth along with healthy entertainment.”
The organized game was presided over by prominent businessman Manjurul Islam. Special guests were present at the event were Bhognagar Union BNP Joint Convener Md. Tahidul Islam, Upazila BNP members Alhaj Abu Bakkar Siddique, Md. Dulal, Krishak Dal President Ruhul Amin Babu and Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Md. Nur Islam.
Local dignitaries, leaders of various BNP organs and associate organizations, and hundreds of spectators enjoyed the game at the field.
