A reception and felicitation ceremony was held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM for the newly elected office-bearers of the Kalai Upazila Building Construction Workers' Union, who were elected unopposed.

Mr. Abdul Bari, Member of Parliament for Joypurhat-2 and State Minister for Public Administration and Food, attended the event as the chief guest.

Special guests present included Mr. Md. Ibrahim Hossain Fakir (Convener, Kalai Upazila BNP), Mr. Md. Moudud Alam Sarkar (Joint Convener, Kalai Upazila BNP), Mr. Md. Sajjadur Rahman Talukdar Sohel (Convener, Municipal BNP), Mr. Md. Abdul Alim Sarkar (Joint Convener, Municipal BNP), and Mr. Abdur Rashid (Former Vice-President, Kalai Upazila Building Construction Workers' Union).

Several other dignitaries were also present at the event.
