A meeting was held with the leaders of the Joypurhat District Puja Celebration Council to celebrate the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja-2025 in a smooth and peaceful manner. The meeting was organized today in the conference room of the district Superintendent of Police’s office.
The meeting was presided over by the Honorable Superintendent of Police of Joypurhat District, Mr. Muhammad Abdul Wahab. He listened to various proposals and recommendations related to the puja mandap from the leaders of the Puja Celebration Council and gave necessary instructions after considering them seriously.
The Superintendent of Police said that maintaining communal harmony and maintaining law and order during the Sharadiya Durga Puja is the priority of the police. He further said that if there is any chaos or deterioration in law and order during the puja, it is requested to inform the concerned police station or district police control room as soon as possible.
In the meeting, he highlighted the overall security measures including security arrangements at the puja mandap, crowd control, lighting, installation of CCTV cameras, activities of the volunteer force and directed the concerned officials to maintain the highest professionalism in performing their duties.
Senior officials of the district, Officers-in-Charge (OC) of all police stations and leaders of the Joypurhat District Puja Udjavan Parishad were present in the meeting.
With the joint initiative of the Joypurhat District Police and the Puja Udjavan Parishad, this year too, Durga Puja will be celebrated peacefully, orderly and joyfully — this is the expectation of everyone.
