Comilla: The Comilla City Corporation has made significant progress in rehabilitating the city’s hawkers and ensuring orderly urban management.
To this end, 101 hawkers of the city submitted applications to the Administrator of the Comilla City Corporation, Md. Yusuf Molla Tipu, for the allocation of shops in the Comilla City Market.
After accepting the applications, the Administrator assured to consider the matter seriously. The concerned said that if this initiative is implemented, permanent employment opportunities will be created for the hawkers. At the same time, it will be possible to keep the sidewalks free from encroachment and ensure smooth movement of the city residents.
Conscious circles are seeing this step of the Comilla City Corporation as a positive progress in urban management.
