The center authorities have expelled two science department candidates for two years for cheating in the HSC examination in Dumki, Patuakhali.
The cheating incident took place during the English second paper examination at the Muradia Aziz Ahmed College center in the upazila on Wednesday (July 8).
The expelled candidates are Noman and Ami Akhter, students of the science department of Dumki Government Janata College.
According to center sources, the two candidates took out an additional white answer sheet with the signature of the room inspector during the English first paper examination the previous day. Later, when they tried to add it to the original answer sheet during the English second paper examination, the room inspector in charge caught them red-handed.
Later, after examining the matter at the center secretary’s office, it was decided to expel both the candidates for two years for cheating as per the rules of public examinations.
Muradia Aziz Ahmed College Principal and Center Secretary Ahsanul Kabir confirmed the incident and said that measures have been taken as per the rules to maintain transparency and discipline in the examination.
