On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:30 pm, Belab Police Station Officer-in-Charge SM Amanullah, along with SI (Unarmed)/Mohammed Enayet Karim and forces, based on secret information, were able to arrest 1 person along with 143 (one hundred and forty-three) sacks of cumin seeds from the paved road on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway, Dhaka-bound lane, approximately 500 yards south of Darikandi Bus Stand in Darikandi Sakin, Belab Police Station area.
The arrested accused is Md. Mostaq Ahmed (33), father: Md. Alam Mia, mother: Rina Begum, Sang Kamdia, Police Station: Gobindaganj, District: Gaibanda. Seized evidence: (a) 143 (one hundred and forty-three) sacks of cumin made of golden and red mixed plastic, (b) a yellow and blue 07-ton truck, (c) 105 (one hundred and five) sacks of paddy made of plastic, (d) 50 (fifty) jute sacks of paddy husk.
Action taken: A regular case has been registered with Belab Police Station for this crime, case no. 26 dated 31/12/2025. Belab Police Station Officer-in-Charge SM Amanullah said that Belab Police Station is under strict surveillance against various crimes including drugs and Kishoreganj. Currently, law and order is better than in the past. Inshallah, no person will get away with committing criminal activities.
