Chapainawabganj Battalion 53 BGB. Based on confidential information, it is known that cattle and narcotics have been brought through the river for smuggling and hidden in various chars. In this context, on November 28, 2025, from 1 am to 6 am, special patrol teams of Manaksha and Jahurpur BOPs under Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) conducted separate operations.
During the operation, 02 cows were seized from Suryanarayanpur under Sadar Thana of Chapainawabganj district and 44 bottles of Indian liquor were seized from Gopalpur Char in Manaksha Union under Shibganj Thana, with an estimated value of 04 lakh taka. The seized liquor has been deposited at Shibganj Police Station and the cows at Chapainawabganj Customs Office.
