On the night of September 20, 2025, 5 drug dealers were arrested with Yaba and marijuana from Ghoshbagh and Nishchintapur areas of Ashulia in a joint force operation.
On September 20, 2025, at approximately 11:00 pm, a patrol team of Jamgarh Army Camp in Ghoshbagh area of Ashulia arrested a person named Md. Joy who was moving suspiciously while conducting a regular check post. 20 pieces of Yaba were recovered from him. Initial interrogation revealed the names of Md. Shahajuddi and his mother Romiza Khatun, who have been involved in drug trade in the area for a long time. It is worth noting that Romiza Khatun is one of the leading Yaba dealers in the area and being a woman, she has been easily deceiving the law enforcement agencies for a long time.
After receiving all the information, another patrol team from Jamgarh Army Camp, consisting of police and BGB, conducted a raid on the house of Shahajuddi and Romija Khatun in Ghoshbag. During this, Shahajuddi and his mother were arrested and 18 pieces of Yaba were recovered from them. During interrogation, they confessed to selling about 200 pieces of Yaba that day. The local people had also been accusing them of drug dealing for a long time.
Later, during interrogation, the name of drug dealer Sabbir from Nishchintapur area came up. The joint forces conducted a raid and arrested Sabbir from his house. 6 pieces of Yaba and 200 grams of marijuana were recovered from him. Later, his associate Alfaz was also arrested from Nishchintapur with 100 grams of marijuana.
