Three smugglers have been arrested along with a large quantity of narcotics at the Dhamirhat border in Naogaon. On Wednesday, October 15, a special patrol team led by Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB) Dhamirhat Border Bastabor BOP Patrol Commander Naib Md. Ershad Ali conducted a raid in Uday Sri and Chakrahmat (Baddighi) areas based on secret information and arrested three people along with 300 pieces of Indian narcotics.
The arrested were 1. Anwar Hossain (30) father of Faruk Hossain 2. Shri Shanta Barman father of Shri Binoy Chandra Sang Uday Sri 3. Atabul Islam (40) father of deceased Golam Mustafa Sang Uttar Chakrahmat P.O. Jagdal Thana Dhamirhat.
Apart from this, Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB) Commander Lt. Col. Md. Iqbal Hossain said that he will continue the operation against drug trafficking, illegal border crossing, and smugglers through the Naogaon-Joypurhat border.
