The Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) has arrested two members of the primary teacher recruitment exam question paper leak ring in Rangpur. The arrested are Golam Kibria (28), son of Shariful Islam of Kafrikhal area of Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur district, and Sumon Chandra (27), son of Gopal Chandra of Khorda Kashinathpur village under the same police station.
Rangpur Metropolitan Detective Branch Deputy Police Commissioner Sanatan Chakraborty confirmed this information at a press briefing at his office at 2:30 pm. They were arrested from the Captain Backology area adjacent to Rangpur Police Lines on Thursday (January 8) afternoon.
The DB Deputy Police Commissioner said, based on secret information, the DB team came to know that a ring is trying to fake the primary teacher recruitment exam in various ways through modern information technology. Based on such information, we were alert on the instructions of the higher authorities. In continuation of this, the two were arrested based on secret information. At that time, digital devices and mobile phones were seized from them.
Sanatan Chakraborty said, during the initial interrogation, the two admitted that they were there with the aim of supplying digital devices. Their interrogation is continuing and we have received important sources from them.
