13 people got jobs in Joypurhat police for 120 taka without bribery or lobbying

In Joypurhat, 13 people got jobs as Trainee Recruit Constables (TRC) of the police by spending only 120 taka without any bribery or lobbying. They were appointed only on the basis of merit and qualification.

Joypurhat Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdul Wahab announced the results at Joypurhat Police Lines at 5:30 pm on Wednesday (September 10). 3 more candidates have been kept as waiting list. Immediately after the list was published, the candidates who passed were overcome with tears of joy and happiness.

It is known that the selection process for the post of police constable began on August 13-15. A total of 1294 candidates from different upazilas of the district applied for that post. Then, 178 people took part in the written test on August 29 of this month. After 25 of them passed, the oral test was held on Wednesday. The district police announced the final results after the oral test.

Joypurhat Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdul Wahab said, “The meritorious and qualified candidates have been evaluated on the basis of complete transparency. Most of those who got the job are poor and destitute. Many people have the idea that a job in the police means bribery and lobbying. But we want to change that idea.”
