The Coast Guard said that it was not possible to arrest anyone as the arms and drug smugglers quickly fled after sensing the presence of the operation. However, intelligence surveillance is continuing to identify and arrest the members of the terrorist group involved.
According to the force, if the recovered explosives had fallen into the hands of unscrupulous people or exploded in any other way, there could have been extensive damage to the lives and property of the common people. It has been possible to prevent a possible major sabotage activity through this timely operation.
The process of taking further legal action regarding the seized grenades, bullets and marijuana is ongoing. A Coast Guard press release said that such operations will continue in the future to curb the activities of terrorists and smuggling gangs in the border areas.
