Palashbari (Gaibandha) Correspondent:
A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in the Dholbhanga area of Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha. The accident occurred at around 4 pm on Friday (October 17, 2025) in the Dholbhanga bus stand area of the Gaibandha-Palashbari regional highway.
The deceased youth has been identified as Rakib (17). He is the son of Nazrul Islam of Asmatpur village of Kishoregari union of Palashbari upazila.
Local UP member Morshed Alam said that a Gaibandha-bound passenger bus collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, causing the motorcycle rider Rakib to fall and die on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, Palashbari police recovered the body from the scene and brought it to the police station. Palashbari police station officer-in-charge (OC) Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto confirmed the death.
