One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a freight truck and a motorcycle in Baliadangi Upazila of Thakurgaon. The tragic accident took place today (Saturday).

One person was killed and two others were injured in a collision between a truck and a motorcycle in front of Lolpukur DM School on the Nekmorad-Thakurgaon highway in Duosuo Union of Baliadangi Upazila of Thakurgaon. The accident occurred at around 3:30 pm on Saturday (June 27). The deceased has been identified as Shudho Bala (husband: Giren Chandra), a resident of Pariya Gramatli area of ​​Pariya Union.

The injured have been identified as Mejani Bala (husband: Binoy), a resident of Banagaon in Dhantala Union and Sajen, a resident of Pariya Gramatli in Pariya Union. According to local and eyewitness sources, a motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction on a road in Baliadangi area. The motorcycle was twisted in the collision and one of the motorcycle riders died on the spot.

After the accident, the local people quickly came forward and rescued the two injured and admitted them to a local hospital.
Later
The two injured were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
Their condition is said to be critical. The police have seized the deadly truck.

The Baliadangi Police Station Officer (OC) confirmed the incident and said that upon receiving the information, the police quickly went to the spot and recovered the bodies. The road is now normal and preparations are underway to file a case in this regard.
