Cox's Bazar Correspondent:
A suspect has been arrested with 26,700 pieces of Burmese Yaba tablets in a special operation by the Ramu Battalion (30 BGB) of Cox's Bazar district. The estimated market value of the recovered Yaba is 80 lakh 10 thousand taka.
The operation was conducted at the Morichya Joint Checkpost at around 3:30 pm on Friday (12 September 2025).

Ramu Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Kazi Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said that based on intelligence information, a suspicious CNG was seized by strengthening patrolling activities led by Assistant Director Md. Kabir Hossain. At that time, the passenger Md. Hasan Lalu (47), father- Md. Nur Hossain, village- Dargachhara, post office- Mitha Pani Chha, police station- Teknaf, district- Cox's Bazar, was initially searched after nothing was found during interrogation. Later, the Yaba tablets were found specially hidden on his body.
The BGB said that the detained suspect will be handed over to the concerned police station for further legal action after initial interrogation.
